Imagine their [refugees in a Croydon hotel] delight after an hour of paint, glue & stickers when we announced a Magic Show! 
With a whisper about presents for kids & mums too afterwards. The Dads came rushing down too to see it as well. They were spellbound by Jamie, resplendent in a red, sparkly Turkish outfit, with the Dads volunteering to help him do his magician tricks. We were so glad to get the fabulous Jamie Jibberish to perform for the refugees. His charity “Magic for Smiles” performs shows for traumatised children in Syria and Lebanon, using his “magic language” which you can hear one of the videos [see Calais Light instagram], which the kids loved. The parents enjoyed the magic just as much as the little ones! Everyone responds to magic with surprise & delight. We were all one! [….]
